Yvette Thomas-Moore is a native Washingtonian who
realized and developed her talent for singing at the early age of 3 years
old. Even as a young child, she has always had a genuine love for music
and the performing arts. Blossoming from an adolescent into the early
stages of her life, Yvette nurtured her respect for all forms of art,
which resulted in matriculation at the renowned Duke Ellington School
of the Arts, graduating in 1994 with honors in vocal music.
While attending the Ellington School of Arts, she served as class president
for three (3) consecutive years, allowing herself to progressively build
upon her leadership skills and developing bonds with students and staff
members alike. Not forgetting her roots or musical training, Yvette now
serves as an active member of the Ellington Alumni Association where she
focuses on bridging the gap between the current Ellington student body,
staff and alumni.
Yvette currently works as a staff accountant for an established Staffing
agency in downtown Bethesda . She is the wife of a wonderful husband,
mother to one son and two step children and an avid follower of Christ.
